Live at Five

Introducing a new daily feature on Acid Flashback: Live at Five

Many stations have daily features with a group of songs, such as the Beatles, a featured artist, or birthday salutes.  This month, Acid Flashback radio introduces a new feature called “Live at Five”. Every Monday through Thursday at 5 PM ET, we present five ‘Live” songs from our music library that has more than 800 live songs from the bands we play every day.

The list includes well-known albums like “Waiting For Columbus” by Little Feat or “Frampton Comes Alive,” as well as freshly released concerts and even bootlegs.  In their effort to keep material from going into the public domain, many older bands have gone on a concert publishing spree.  Artists such as The Doors, Chicago, Pink Floyd, and Lynyrd Skynyrd have released some pretty good shows.

On this past Thursday, January 8th, we led off with Levon Helm and “Ophelia” followed by Alice Cooper and “Levity Ball”, “Tulsa Time” from Eric Clapton, “The Magnificent Seven” by The Clash, and we closed the segment with Sam Moore and “Hold On I’m Coming”.

We plan to acquire a lot more music in the coming weeks and months, and look forward to providing you with plenty of awesome live music.

This week, we plan to lead off each day with a Grateful Dead or Bob Weir solo song in honor of the legendary guitarist who passed away this last weekend.
