A show from Marty Masters

The 3D RadioActivity is a historical snapshot of one musical topic. Each edition builds a show around a single theme, sometimes seasonal, while Uncle Marty (Marty Masters) and DaytonAiredale share the stories behind the songs and artists you hear. The show began in 2009 and draws on well over 100 feet of vinyl and a huge library of song files, from acoustic to zydeco.

Themes have ranged from angels, time and Saint Patrick's Day to Mardi Gras, Rock and Roll Hall of Fame songs and gentle, easy listening. Each year the show also pays tribute to the musicians we lost in the Musical Memorial Tribute series. It has won a 2011 SFSU BECA Award for Best Original Radio Program and a 2012 BEA/NAB award in the Specialty Program category. Past shows can also be downloaded from the Internet Archive.
