▶Sundays at 6 PM Eastern / 3 PM Pacific on Acid Flashback Radio
with Bill Fitzhugh
Remember when FM deejays actually mixed the records? Bill Fitzhugh does. Every segue on All Hand Mixed Vinyl is done by hand, live, with no editing software. One song bleeds into the next through a shared chord, a false ending, or a sound effect that lines up just right. It either works or it doesn’t, and that’s the fun of it.

How the hour works
- Two hand-mixed sets of about 26 minutes each, every Sunday
- All vinyl, sequenced the way the old FM rock jocks did it, only longer
- No edits. Every transition is done live on the turntables
- Every set list is posted on Bill’s site, so you can look up any song he’s played

How it started
The show grew out of a weekly ritual. While Bill was writing his novel Radio Activity, he met up with his old WZZQ-FM colleague D. Victor Hawkins for drinks and music sessions they called Tuesdays, ‘Tinis and Tunes, held in the Way Back Studios. After the book came out, George Taylor Morris, the program director of Sirius XM’s Deep Tracks channel, read it. Bill sent him a collection of their sets, and the show grew from there.
Bill builds his sets with a few favorite tricks. He might slip one song into the pause of a false ending before it picks back up, link two songs that share the same chord or note at the join, or pair matching sound effects, like storms, from one record to the next. About 145 shows have set lists posted on his site.
