Eagles Add Two More Nights at Sphere, and Vegas Still Can’t Get Enough

Due to demand, the Eagles have added Friday, January 8 and Saturday, January 9 to their Las Vegas run at Sphere, bringing the residency to 74 shows.

Some bands fill a venue. The Eagles keep refilling one.

Due to demand, the Eagles Sphere residency has added two more nights, Friday, January 8 and Saturday, January 9. That brings the run to 74 shows, making it the longest-running engagement the venue has ever hosted. Remember, this thing started in September 2024. Most tours burn out in a year. This one just keeps asking for more dates.

I’ve been inside the Sphere for Dead & Company. It’s truly a mind blowing experience. I can only imagine how amazing it would be to see a classic band like the Eagles along with the images that fill the wall from floor to roof.

Simply put, the music is the draw, and the venue is the multiplier. Sphere’s high resolution LED screen wraps up, over, and around the audience, and its sound system is built to deliver the same clarity to every seat. For a band whose catalog is the soundtrack of the 1970s, that turns a greatest hits night into something closer to a time machine.

The band’s résumé explains the staying power. The Eagles kicked off 2026 by becoming the first act to earn Quadruple Diamond certification from the RIAA, for Their Greatest Hits 1971 to 1975. That is more than 40 million units, and it remains the best-selling album of all time in the U.S. Hotel California has been re-certified at 28x Platinum, good for third on that same list. Add six Grammys, a Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction in their first year of eligibility (1998), and Kennedy Center Honors in 2016, and you can see why the appeal crosses generations.
