U.K. “U.K.” 1978 Polydor/E.G. Records – There was a time when a prog supergroup walked the Earth, consisting of Bill Bruford of Jethro Tull and King Crimson on drums, rock and prog journeyman, Alan Holdsworth on guitar, Eddie Jobson of Yes and Zappa on keyboards and John Wetton of King Crimson, Uriah Heep, Wishbone Ash and Roxy Music on vocals.
I can attest to this because I saw them with my own eyes touring behind this album, and it’s follow up, “Danger Money.”
The album was lauded for its innovative fusion of progressive rock, jazz fusion, and classical elements. Critics appreciated the band’s ability to seamlessly blend complex compositions with intricate improvisations, creating a unique and dynamic sound.
