Music News with Carlos Santana Extends a Vegas Run, Soul Coughing Hits the Road, and My Chemical Romance Revisits a Classic.
It’s another busy week in the world of music announcements, with one legend extending his stay in Las Vegas, a cult-favorite band taking their reunion back on the road, and an emo staple getting a deluxe reissue just in time for a blockbuster tour.
Carlos Santana Keeps the Fire Burning in Vegas
For more than a decade, Carlos Santana has been bringing his fiery guitar tone and timeless catalog to fans at House of Blues inside Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas. The residency, An Intimate Evening with Santana: Greatest Hits Live – Presented by SiriusXM, is now entering its 14th year, and Santana just announced fresh 2026 dates.
The new shows will take place in January, February, and May of 2026, adding to his already packed schedule this fall and winter. All shows begin at 8 p.m.
Upcoming Performances:
- 2025: Sept. 24, 25, 27, 28; Nov. 5, 6, 8, 9, 12, 15, 16
- 2026: Jan. 21, 22, 24, 25, 28, 29, 31; Feb. 1; May 13, 14, 16, 17, 20, 21, 23, 24
Tickets for the newly announced 2026 shows go on sale Friday, Sept. 26 at 10 a.m. PT, starting at $99.50. Pre-sales for Citi cardmembers, fans, and Live Nation customers begin earlier in the week. Details are at Citi Entertainment, HouseofBlues.com/Santana, and Ticketmaster.
VIP packages offer stage-side dining, limited-edition photos, and specialty food and beverage experiences. A portion of proceeds supports both Santana’s Milagro Foundation (benefiting underserved youth in arts, education, and health) and the House of Blues Music Forward Foundation (which provides mentorship and education for young people pursuing music careers).
With a career spanning more than five decades, Santana remains one of rock’s most recognizable names. He’s won 10 GRAMMY Awards and 3 Latin GRAMMYs, been enshrined in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and in 1999 pulled off the remarkable feat of nine GRAMMYs in a single night for his Supernatural album. Rolling Stone ranks him at #11 on its list of “100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time.”
Soul Coughing Still Loves You – Reunion Tour Expands
One of the more unique reunions of recent years is back for round two. Soul Coughing – the band that mixed rock, hip-hop, jazz, and experimental electronica into an unclassifiable blend in the ’90s – is once again hitting the road.
Their “Soul Coughing Still Loves You” tour kicks off December 5 at Newport Music Hall in Columbus, Ohio. The run includes seven cities across the Midwest, with more likely to follow if fan demand is as intense as last year’s sold-out reunion trek.
Tour Dates:
- Dec. 5 – Columbus, OH – Newport Music Hall
- Dec. 6 – Indianapolis, IN – The Vogue
- Dec. 7 – Covington, KY – Madison Theater
- Dec. 9 – Omaha, NE – The Admiral Theater
- Dec. 10 – Des Moines, IA – Val Air Ballroom
- Dec. 12 – Chicago, IL – (Venue TBA)
- Dec. 13 – Madison, WI – The Sylvee
- Dec. 14 – Grand Rapids, MI – 20 Monroe Live
Tickets go on sale to the general public Friday, Sept. 26 at 10 a.m. (local time) at SoulCoughingBand.com. VIP packages and artist presales are already underway.
The original lineup – Mike Doughty (vocals/guitar), Mark degli Antoni (samplers/keys), Yuval Gabay (drums), and Sebastian Steinberg (bass) – will perform songs from their three albums: Ruby Vroom (1994), Irresistible Bliss (1996), and El Oso (1998).
When the band returned to the stage in 2024 after a 25-year hiatus, reviews were glowing. Variety praised their sound as “as forward-thinking as they did in the ’90s,” while Glide Magazine said simply, “Soul Coughing, in a word, delivered.” The momentum has clearly carried forward into this new run.
My Chemical Romance – Black Parade Tour adds 2026 dates
My Chemical Romance have extended “The Black Parade Tour” with a new run of dates in 2026 that include stops in the US, the UK, and Europe.
