A Little Night Music in 3D

March 12, 2014 by Marty Masters

Night is often associated with danger and evil, because of the psychological connection of  all-encompassing murkiness to the fear of the unknown and the obstruction of a major perceptive system, namely the of sense sight.  It is naturally associated with vulnerability and the peril of human physical survival. Criminals, animals, and potential risk can be concealed by darkness, a particular importance in human imagination and culture, where stories exist and legends warn of the hazards that are possible after moonrise.  In fact, the Saxons called it, the ‘death mist’.  In literature, the lack of light is often color-associated with blackness which is historically symbolic in many societies for villainy, non-existence, or a lack of knowledge.  The ethnic significance in Islam is completely opposite of that in most norms. The Koran was revealed during the Night of Power. Muhammad made his famous journey from Mecca to Jerusalem and then to heaven after sunset. Another prophet, Abraham came to a realization of the supreme being in charge of the universe well after dusk.  On the other hand, in Western lifestyles, night is often associated with having fun.  I’m Uncle Marty, and that is exactly what we will do this time for you on The 3D RadioActivity!
